We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate would have strong mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and safety standards.

 

Skills Required

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred

• Proven experience as a truck mechanic, diesel technician, or similar role

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, braking systems, transmissions, and electrical systems

• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues accurately and efficiently

• Experience with preventative maintenance, inspections, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and equipment

• Understanding of DOT inspection requirements and safety regulations

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documents

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Physical ability to lift heavy parts, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions

• Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of tools and equipment

• Dependable with strong work ethic and punctuality

Preferred Skills

• ASE certification or diesel mechanic certification preferred

• Experience working with specific truck brands or fleet maintenance

• Welding and fabrication experience

• CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is a plus

• Experience with fleet management systems and maintenance tracking
